Timber harvesters (Loggers) must conserve our natural resources and manage our forests in a sustainable manner and must meet the vigorous conservation principles and guidelines of the national Sustainable Forestry Initiative. They are the people who harvest the Nations renewable forests. Loggers must maintain a major role in forest management.
Master Logger is a performance based certification designed to recognize top loggers for their excellence and give landowners a reference point when selecting a logger. To become certified you must comply with required resource protection standards and various State laws and regulations.
The purpose of this Association shall be to serve as "The Voice of Forestry" in Tennessee, and to conduct public relations, government affairs, communications and education programs that will promote a better understanding and appreciation of the forests of Tennessee. Tennessee Forestry Association
