Food Service Safety
Many States mandate food safety certification for food service workers and managers. A Certified Food Manager is required to learn proper food handling, preparation, storage, housekeeping & sanitizing, pest control procedures, personal hygiene, prevention of food borne illness, and proper use of equipment.
The Safe Food Handlers examination is an 80 question multiple choice examination that covers all the information that is presented in the Safe Food Handlers Comprehensive Food Service Sanitation Course Manual. It is used in jurisdictions that do not specifically require a nationally recognized examination.
